Trumann senior Cobey Riddle signed his letter of intent Wednesday to continue his golf career at Blue Mountain Christian University in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
Riddle captured his third consecutive all-state honor this past season after finishing as the state runner-up in the Class 4A state golf tournament. Riddle also qualified for the state tournament all four years and the overall state tournament once.
“I’ve been wanting to play at the next level ever since I was introduced to the sport. I think this place gives me a great opportunity to expand my skills and work on some things that I’ve never had to before. God led me to Blue Mountain and I believe that he will take care of me while I am there,” Riddle said about playing at Blue Mountain.
“Cobey's journey to play college golf at Blue Mountain speaks volumes about his skill, discipline, and determination. From early mornings on the driving range to competing in tournaments. As he transitions to college, he brings with him a rich golfing background and a commitment to represent the college with pride and excellence on the golf course,” Trumann golf coach Stacy Toddy said. “This marks the beginning of a new chapter in his golf journey, one filled with challenges, growth, and the chance to leave a lasting impact. It has been an honor to travel on this journey with him,” Toddy added.
