Corning stayed atop the Conference 3-3A standings with an impressive 102-67 victory over the visiting Gosnell Pirates Thursday at Corning.

Bobcats senior guard Jayce Couch poured in 44 points while draining seven three-pointers as Corning steadily pulled away from the Pirates throughout the game.

Corning led 33-22 after one period and 53-39 at the break. Corning extended their lead to 25 points after three periods (82-57).

Corning guard Luke Blanchard added 23 points (four three’s) and Roman Davis added 14 points (three three’s) as the Bobcats won their fifth consecutive game and improved to 7-4 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

The Pirates were led by Lamon Adlridge and Kerrion Terry both of whom scored 14 points for Gosnell which fell to 5-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

The junior Pirates won the junior high game 52-32. Jonathan Azucena led Gosnell with 14 points.
