HARRISBURG - The Manila Lady Lions opened 3-3A Conference play with a convincing 52-26 victory over the Harrisburg Lady Hornets Monday at the Hornets Nest in Harrisburg.
Manila led from start to finish as they improved to 7-4, 1-0 on the season.
Freshman Lucy Farmer led the way for the Lady Lions with 17 points. Junior Jenna LaRose added 10 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals. Madysen Deeds had nine points, grabbed eight rebounds and had four steals.
Addison Stabbs came off the bench to score seven points for the Lady Lions. Madison Tune dished out three assists and Bailey Wilson had a pair of assists and racked up six steals.Harrisburg was led by Liz Green who scored nine points.
Cassie Carlson added seven points. Hannah Mross had five points. Gabby Nunez and Sofie Moody both scored two points and Ragan Fahr hit a free throw for the Lady Hornets (5-3, 0-2).
