MANILA - The Manila Lady Lions outscored Piggott 29-4 in the second period to open up at 45-9 halftime lead enroute to a 68-36 win over the Lady Mohawks in Conference 3A-3 senior girls basketball action Thursday at the Lions Den in Manila.
Manila racked up 11 steals, most of which came in the opening two quarters, to build their 36-point halftime advantage. Manila’s lead was 56-23 heading into the final period of play.
Lucy Farmer led the Lady Lions with 20 points. Farmer added five rebounds, an assist and had four steals. Madysen Deeds had a double, double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Deeds added an assist and a steal.
Addison Stabbs had nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Stabbs added an assist and a steal. Jenna LaRose and Bailey Wilson both scored eight points. LaRose added three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Wilson had a rebound, three assists and two steals.
Madison Tune had six points, four rebounds and two assists for Manila (8-4, 2-0).
Libby Brantley led Piggott (3-6, 0-2) with 13 points.
