MANILA - Manila’s Rex Farmer and Luke Kirk combined to score 50 points and the Lions went on to defeat the Harrisburg Hornets 70-44 Tuesday at the Lions Den in Manila.

The Lions jumped out to an 18-7 lead after one period and led 35-19 at the half. Manila extended its lead to 54-35 entering the final period.

Manila, 4-6 overall and 2-0 in Conference 3A-3 play, got 30 points from Farmer and 20 from Kirk in the victory.

Harrisburg was paced by J.P. Rowton’s 12 points. Axel Heeb and William Rowton both added seven points for the Hornets. Rowton also hauled down sex rebounds to lead Harrisburg (2-9, 0-3).

Manila won the junior boys game 63-23 as Noel Salomon poured in 29 points. The junior Hornets were led by Austin James’ 14 point effort.
