Manila girls stay unbeaten defeat Westside

MANILA - The Lady Lions improved to 4-0 on the season with a win over the Westside Lady Warriors Monday at the Lions Den. Manila had defeated Highland 70-63 in the Highland Classic Saturday, Nov. 20.

Manila had three players score in double figures led by Lucy Farmer who netted 20 points. Jenna LaRose added 13 and Madysen Deeds had 11 points for the victors.

Deeds led Manila with seven rebounds, while Farmer grabbed five boards and LaRose had four rebounds.

Madison Tune had five assists and three steals, while LaRose had three assists and a pair of steals.

Manila 70, Highland 63

Manila overcame the Lady Rebels with a strong second half performance. Farmer led Manila with 23 points, while Deeds added 12 points, Chloe Helms and LaRose both had 11 points. Tune had eight points and Bailey Wilson scored six points including a clutch three-pointer in the final minutes of the game.

LaRose led the Lady Lions with eight rebounds. Helms and Tune both grabbed four boards, while Deeds and Farmer had three rebounds each.

Tune and LaRose both had four assists while Helms assisted on three of her teams scores.

Deeds had three steals on defense, while Farmer had a pair of thefts. Wilson added a pair of blocked shots for the Lady Lions.

Highland was paced by Annabelle Green’s game-high 25 points. Lucy Trivitt added 13 for Highland (0-3)
