Me and My Sister Boutique gets ready for the holidays

Me and My Sister Boutique in Downtown Blytheville is getting ready for the holiday season and stocking items that their customers want and need.

Owners Lori Hixon and Leslie Wells have been on Main Street for 14 years.

They are getting ready for Pink Friday on Nov. 17. This is their second year to host Pink Friday, a nationwide campaign to encourage customers to support local first. It takes place the week before Black Friday. There will be doorbusters and special sales.

Also, prior to Black Friday, they will celebrate a Pink Month party on Thursday, Nov. 9, with lots of Christmas items. The store will extend their hours until 7 p.m. for the event. They will debut their stocking stuffer cart filled with items for men and women, along with offering snacks to their customers.. A permanent jewelry representative will be on hand for the day.

Black Friday will follow Thanksgiving on Friday, Nov. 24. Me and My Sister will be participating in the American Express Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25.

“We are excited to see more businesses downtown and participating in the activities,” Hixon said. “We are looking forward to all of the events on Main Street Blytheville. All of our local businesses are very important to our community and we are happy to be a part of it.”

The annual Christmas parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7.
