Trumann (5-5) will travel to Warren (10-0) for an opening round game in the Class 4A state football playoffs this Friday. The Wildcats beat Harrisburg 47-6 this past Friday to finished tied for the final spot in the 4A-3 conference. Trumann got the final spot with a head to head win over Gosnell. Warren is coming in off a 42-28 win over Hamburg.

Jake Osment and Cade Hatton continue to be a good one-two punch in the Wildcats' running attack as Gavin Cubit grounds out tough yardage at fullback. Gavin Greenwell, Efrain Garcia, Brandon Dohm and Hatton are all good receivers for Osment to look for when Trumann looks to throw the ball. Evan Shrout, Devin Smithson, Justin Price and Thomas Chavarria have been solid on the offensive line. Center Brody McDaniel may have been lost to a knee injury this past Friday. Garcia is solid on extra-points and has kicked some field goals during the year. The Wildcats are averaging 23.1 points a game.

Shrout is strong against the run on the defensive line as Cade Hayse, Garcia and Cubit are solid against the run and provide pressure on the quarterback in passing situations. Chavarria, Isaish Carillo and Brodie Popejoy are run stoppers from their linebacker spots. Hatton and Greenwell and both strong against the run and Hatton is a magnet for the football from his cornerback spot. Osment is another defensive back against the run for the Wildcats. Trumann is giving up 16.2 points a game on defense.

The Lumberjacks come in averaging 43.8 points a game on offense while allowing 17.5 points on defense. They have won 21 of their last 22 games.
