Russell Ray Normand

Russell Ray Normand, 79, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Russell was born in Marksville, La., to Lorena and Agnes Broussard Normand and was of the Catholic faith. He was the owner of BR Trucking Company and Russell Ray Tug and Towing. He enjoyed working on trucks and tinkering in his shop. Russell was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, especially frog gigging.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Normand.

Russell is survived by his wife, Bea Gifford Normand of the home; children, Michelle Serpas of Slidell, La., and Lorne Normand of Marrero, La.; grandchildren, Evan Talbert, Landon Bass, Tiffany Normand, Desiree Normand and Nicholas Normand; sister, Geneva Vickers of Gonzales, La.; special nieces, Maddie Birdno, Kassidy Sanchez and Olivia Jones, all of Blytheville; and his fur babies, Elliott and Louie.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Pankey and Father Francis Madanu officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
