GAME PREVIEW

In a match-up that will feature two of the top teams in the 2A-2 conference, the EPC Warriors (8-0, 5-0) will host the Des Arc Eagles (6-2, 4-1) in a huge game this Friday at Warrior Field.

EPC is coming off a 54-6 win over Lee in a game that saw Dennis Gaines, Jr. go over 6,000 rushing yards in his high school career. The Warriors offense is averaging 46 points a game with an offense that can score on the ground or through the air. Quarterback Cooper Argo is a dual threat to put points on the board with his feet or his arm. Omar McCuiston is a key target for Argo with Tyrus Reel and Tyler Moore adding two more targets for Argo. Jacob Gaines and Moore also provide help in the backfield for the Warriors. Seniors Michael Collins, Jr., Moises Penaloza and Landon Nichols continue to open holes and give pass protection for EPC.

The Warriors' defense is allowing less that 20 points a game and are led by linebackers Collins, Moore and Argo. Penaloza is a good run stopper on the defensive line. McCuiston and Reel are both good cover guys in the secondary.

The Eagles are coming off their first conference loss to Cross County. Des Arc is averaging 40 points a game on offense while their defense is allowing 27 points a game. The Eagles use a ground and pound offense to wear down their opponents.
