Wanda Louise Wren Halsell
Wanda Louise Wren Halsell, 84, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Wanda was born in Lepanto to Raymond Wren and Cleo Smith Lamb. She was a homemaker and was the former co-owner of the Dixie Pig with her husband, Buddy. Wanda enjoyed fishing and shooting guns. She was a member of the Mississippi County Gun Club and won several competitive shooting competitions. Wanda loved the Lord and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Halsell; and son, Jim Halsell.
Wanda is survived by her children, Bob Halsell of Blytheville, Becky Westbrook and her husband Jesse of Memphis, Tenn., and Bud Halsell of Blytheville; grandchildren, Litt Westbrook of Austin, Texas, Whitney Westbrook Hill and her husband Wade of Dumas, Mallory Halsell of Blytheville and Anna Lea Halsell of Gosnell; great-grandchildren, Woods, Poppy and Birdie Hill, all of Dumas, and Kellso, Kobe and AJ Halsell, all of Blytheville; and sister Mary Fay Stalcup of Little Rock.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Randy Jumper officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Haven. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
