Rosendo Albino Gayosso

Rosendo Albino Gayosso, 77, of Leachville, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Puebla, Mexico, he was the son of the late Aurelio Gayosso and Julia Ramirez Hernandez and had worked for the Pemex oil refinery before moving to McAllen, Texas in the early 1970s. He lived many years in the Rio Grande Valley where he worked as a carpenter before moving to Leachville in 1997. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gloria Acosta Galloso of Leachville; two sons, Aurelio Galloso of Cardwell, Mo., and Rosendo Galloso of Leachville; one stepdaughter, Lorena Gayosso; eight daughters, Elena Smith of Niota, Tenn., Julia Renteria of Leachville, Angelica Gonzales of Manila, Lupita Orias of Lafayette, Ind., Elizabeth Huerta of Woodlynne, N. J., Diana Esparza of Leachville; Gloria Rodriguez of Lafayette, Ind., Anna Rangel of Leachville. He also leaves 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
