The Blytheville Police Department will be hosting open testing on Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. Applicants can report to 1700 South Division Blytheville Arkansas 72315.
Applicants will park at the front of the building and enter through the police department side. To be a qualified applicant, there will be a series of tests performed on the day of testing:
The physical requirements include: 220-yard (1/8 mile) run in 60 seconds; as many pushups as able in 60 seconds; as many sit-ups as able in 60 seconds; Manual Dexterity -- Loading a magazine, inserting the magazine into the gun, then dry firing a handgun 10 times with the right hand, 10 times with the left hand, ejecting the magazine then locking the slide back in 1 minute 33 seconds.
After the physical portion, applicants will be required to take spelling, punctuation, grammar and typing tests.
