George Thompson lll

George Thompson lll was born Sept. 6, 1963, to George Thompson Jr. and Arguster Thompson. On Aug. 8, 2023, God called his servant home from labor at the age of 59.

He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Solomon’s Temple Church in Osceola and continued on in his Christian journey at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Brown.

He was employed at NIBCO in Blytheville for 29 years. He made many contributions to his community.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Arguster Thompson, and his father, George Thompson Jr., and one brother, Eddie Charles Green.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Tyler Thompson of Blytheville; one stepson, Major Jones of Georgia; four sisters, Diane Jordan, Arguster Williams (George), Lisa James (Harold) and Minnie Adams (Jimmy), all of Osceola; one brother, Jerry Thompson (Dion) of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center, 522 S. Broadway St., Osceola, at 11 a.m. Bishop Gregory Brown officiating. Interment will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
