Betty Jean Johnson

Betty Jean Johnson, 54, of Luxora passed away July 23, 2023, at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born April 2, 1969, in Osceola to John Albert Childs and Willie Johnson Sanders. Betty was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, John Childs, and her daughter, Alicia Alexander.

She is survived by her mother, Willie Sanders of Luxora; one son, Robert Alexander, Jr. of Wichita, Kan.; one goddaughter, Nicole Sutton of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, John Childs of Wichita, Kan., Taylor Sanders and Maurice Coleman of Luxora; two sisters, Ollie Childs of Blytheville and Carla Childs of Burlington, Iowa; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 5, from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette with Rev. Greg Baker officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of the arrangements.
