Blytheville - Blytheville Chickasaws head boys basketball coach McKenzie Pierce is leaving the school for a new destination.

Pierce met with more than 30 of his current and former players and coaches one last time Saturday at the school. Pierce has not announced his new destination publicly, but will be doing so in the next few days.

Pierce leaves Blytheville after a successful seven-year run which saw his teams win nearly 200 games and finish as Class 4A State runners up in both 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. The Chicks were also ranked among the top schools in the state of Arkansas over the last few years, holding the overall number one ranking for much of the 2022-2023 campaign.
