Kenneth Chad McClurg
Kenneth Chad McClurg, 41, of Cleveland, Tenn., passed away at his home on Monday, June 12, 2023.
Chad was born at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Vir., to Wayne and Diane Hawkins McClurg. After graduating from Blytheville High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired following tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.
Chad was employed as an animal trainer and enjoyed on-line gaming and binge-watching cartoons with his nieces and nephews. His family was very important to him and he saved his vacation time to be at home with them every Christmas and Thanksgiving. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to his parents, Chad leaves brothers, Nathan McClurg and wife, Patricia, of Gosnell, Jason McClurg and wife, Wendy, of Blytheville, and Sean McClurg, of Dallas, Texas; nieces, Amber and Sofia, and nephews, Bryan, Julian, Orion, Jr., and Jack, as well as a host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, at 2 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. John Beal officiating. The family received friends on Wednesday, June 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or your local animal shelter.
