Anthony “Tony” Lynn Deason

Anthony “Tony” Lynn Deason, 53, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, May 19, 2023, at Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation in Jonesboro. Born in Osceola to the late Robert and Alberta Webb Deason, Tony had been a longtime Blytheville resident before making Manila his home in 2001. He was a former employee of Grecian Steak House and Quality Inn, both of Blytheville. Tony was an avid music enthusiast, he loved playing the bass guitar and listening to rock and roll music. He also enjoyed antique cars, especially ‘69 Camaros, wrestling, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Kyle.

Survivors include four brothers, Larry Tucker (Laura) of Heber Springs, Mel Ramsey (Judy) of Manila, Bobby Deason of Nashville, Tenn., and Bryan Deason of Steele, Mo.; three sisters, Teresa Royce (Carl) and Linda Grater (Steve), both of Nashville, Tenn., and Candice Southern of Memphis, Tenn.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until service time on Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
