Mona Linda Hessler

Mona Linda Hessler, 71, of Manila, widow of Hans Hessler, passed from this life Saturday, April 15, 2023, at The Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Salinas, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Janette McDowell Whitehead and had been a resident of Manila since 1989. Mona was employed by American Greetings and was a member of Manila First Baptist Church and the Gleaner’s Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include nine aunts, Bertha McCormick of Manila, Earline Hicks of Bowling Green, Ky., Linda Brewer and Barbara Warren, both of Jonesboro, Glenda Perky and Brenda Haney, both of Paragould, Ada Meeks of Black Rock, Bonnie Warnick of Walnut Ridge and Betty Lyerly of Halletsville Texas; one uncle, Wendell Wilkey of Jonesboro.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Manila Cemetery with Dr. Matt Pryor officiating.
