Bettye L. Bruner

Bettye L. Bruner, 88, of Heber Springs, passed away Jan. 29, 2023. She was born July 17, 1933, in Keiser to the late Charlie and Pearl Smith. She was a retiree employee of Blytheville Schools System where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed traveling to many countries and has been to all 50 states. Bettye was recognized for her baking talents and enjoyed dancing at the senior citizen center. She was always sharing her Christian faith with her family and friends.

Bettye is survived by her son, Kerry Rogers (Amy); daughters, Reba Rogers (Bill) and Vicki Glover (Danny); six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, James Smith (Carmen), Roger Smith (Karen) and Charles Smith (Marie).

Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bruner; her parents; granddaughter, Dani Janell Lunsford; sisters, Helen Mahan and Shirley Smith.

A visitation was held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home, Monday, Feb. 6, from 12-1 p.m. with funeral following at 1 p.m. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
