Barbara Ann DePriest

Barbara Ann DePriest, 80, of Jonesboro, formerly of Leachville, widow of Robin DePriest, passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born and raised in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Ann Beavers Garrison and a 1960 graduate of Leachville High School. Barbara had worked for Brown Shoe Company formerly of Leachville over 18 years and had been employed by Hytrol in Jonesboro over 19 years, retiring in 2006. She had been a Jonesboro resident since 2002 and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Barbara had a very caring nature as was evident by the fact she had served as a caregiver to several of her family members. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, listening to old country and gospel music, watching westerns and working in her yard. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Garrison, Melville Garrison and Larry “Friday Joe” Garrison; and one sister, Brenda Raines.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Woodbury (Joseph) of Jonesboro; one brother, Wayne Garrison of Mesa, Ariz.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Leachville Cemetery with Pastor Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. No visitation is scheduled. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
