Juanita Earline Berry Blevins

Juanita Earline Berry Blevins, 99, of Manila, widow of Robert Blevins, passed from this life Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at the Ridgecrest Nursing Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Balyous and Ida Scott Berry and was a 1941 graduate of Manila High School. Juanita was a longtime employee of Potter & Gage Insurance Agency in Flint, Mich. After returning to Arkansas, she was employed as the Director of Housing for the Manila Housing Authority for 28 years, retiring in 2010, and was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila. Juanita enjoyed shopping, cruising, traveling and going to Branson with her late sister, Omega “Trig” Decker. In addition to her parents, husband and sister, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nila June Blevins, and one brother, Billy Berry.

Survivors include one son, Rick Blevins, and his wife Carol of Swartz Creek, Mich; one daughter, Judy Murray, and her husband Robert of Goodrich, Mich; and brother, A.D. Berry, of Manila. She also leaves seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Tony Huffman officiating. Burial is under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
