Rhonda “Phoenix” Phillips

Rhonda “Phoenix” Phillips, 51, of Manila, passed away at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., on Nov. 24, 2022. She was born Dec. 30, 1970, in Memphis to Bobby Phillips and Wanda Lackey. Rhonda was passionate about rescuing and training dogs. She was a boxer known as “Rockin Rhonda”. She enjoyed talking to people, singing, and dancing.

Survivors include her mother, Wanda Lackey of Manila; two sisters, Deborah Phillips of Osceola and Shawnda Phillips of Manila; and a host of other family and friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by; her father, Bobby Phillips, Sr.; grandmother, Opal Rash; and brother, Bobby Phillips, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at 12 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
