Police arrested Decarlos Johnson on Nov. 16 at 376 N. Hollywood for second degree domestic battery. Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered Johnson, as well as a woman later identified as the victim, but both advised that police were not needed. Police were dispatched to the location once more after receiving another call for service. On this encounter, police reported observing the victim more closely and noticed marks around her neck indicating she had been choked. They also reported swelling to the right side of her face and bruising near her right eye. Due to the victim’s injuries, Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the sheriff’s department.

Officers filed a residential burglary report on Nov. 16 at 1007 S. Parkside. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim , Deshona McDonald. She stated that her husband left for work around 12:30 and everything was in order at that time. McDonald advised officers that the west window of the house had been removed. She later listed a Playstation 4 and a Xbox as the only stolen items.

Police filed a breaking and entering-machine report on Nov. 17 at 1038, E. Main, Twice the Ice. The owner, Hunter Hinton, stated that near 1 a.m. he received a notification about the building door being opened. After arriving at the building, he found that it had been broken into. Police observed the exterior lock being destroyed and the steel lock box at the back of the building opened. Hunter advised that approximately $160 was stolen.

Police filed a fleeing report on Nov. 18 that began near 303 Industrial Road. Officers reported hearing 8-10 gunshots in the area while on routine patrol. When responding, officers located a gray Dodge with front end damage traveling east at a high speed on Industrial. They later reported the vehicle began to pull over for the traffic stop before accelerating quickly and heading toward Hwy 18. The driver continued to flee through town and past the intersection of East Rose and Walker before driving through a yard and striking the railroad tracks. After coming to a stop, police reported observing three black males fleeing on foot. An inventory of the vehicle returned a Ruger 10/22, a wallet, a black iPhone and a small bag of marijuana.

Police arrested Charles Stallworth on Nov. 19 at 1520 N. Division, the Great River Medical Center for third degree domestic battery. Upon arrival, police made contact with the victim, Steven Hill, who advised Stallworth needed to be removed from his wife’s room. Police reported that Hill had a small cut on his lip and blood on his shirt upon arrival. Hill noted that the physical altercation began when asking Stallworth to leave originally. Officers later took Stallworth into custody and transported him to the county sheriff’s department.

Police arrested Charles Taylor on Nov. 19 at 713 Putting Green for public intoxication. Police reported patrolling the area due to recent break-ins and originally observed two male subjects walking in the area. Police lost sight of one subject, but later made contact with Taylor. When questioning Taylor, officers reported that he gave responses that corresponded with different areas of the city. Police also noted that a strong odor of intoxicants was coming from Taylor’s person. He was later detained and transported to the sheriff’s department.

Police arrested Brandon Hill on Nov. 20 at 1004 W. Pecan for reckless burning. Police were dispatched in reference to an explosion with a fire following. Upon arrival, police made contact with Hill and observed a fire coming from the inside of the storage building in the backyard. Following the fire department’s investigation, it was determined that Hill was attempting to heat the storage unit using the fire, but the unit was damaged in the process. Hill was taken into custody and transported to the county detention center.

Police filed a vehicle fleeing report on Nov. 20 sparking from the intersection of Hwy 18 and 13th Street. Officers reported that the blue Mustang was consistently traveling over 50 mph through residential areas until losing control and hitting a tree line near the 400 block of south 16th Street. Officers then reported observing a black male fleeing the vehicle on foot and running into the trees. Aniyah Vance was still seated in the passenger seat and was transported to the Great River Medical Center upon EMS arrival.
