Shelley Ann Hamm
Shelley Ann Hamm died unexpectedly on Oct. 26, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Our hearts are breaking today as we realize the depth of our loss.
Shelley was born March 17, 1970, in Norco, Calif., to Jim and Cheryl Harris. She was a 1988 graduate of Riverside High School in Caraway where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. Shelley was a third generation registered nurse and graduated in 1994 from MCCC in Blytheville. She worked several years as an OB nurse at Great River Medical Center and loved, loved, loved delivering babies. She also worked as a home health nurse for the Mississippi County Health Department. She loved to cook and was known for her pumpkin pie, hard candy, better than sex cake and her famous baked beans. Shelley was bigger than life, smart, bold, opinionated, controversial, outgoing, wild, and full of laughter. She was the life of the party and loved by many, especially her Country Manner family and former patients. Shelley enjoyed shopping, listening to music and watching reality TV.
"There are times when one person makes a special difference no one else can make. Thank you for all you've done for me, for the way in which you did it and for making me feel special."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Cheryl (Hatfield) Harris; one brother, David Harris; grandparents, Orville and Ann Binkley; and one grandson, Julian Walter.
