John Lee Wiley Sr.

John Lee Wiley Sr. was born July 29, 1958 to Newman Wiley and Rena Mae Miles in Osceola. John departed this life on Oct. 10, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, John Lee Wiley Jr., and daughter-in-law, Maelayna Wiley, both of Jonesboro; one sister, Debra Brown of Osceola; four granddaughters, Kenya Wiley of Minneapolis, Minn., Maeyonna Done, Maehogony Done and Jackie Wiley, all of Jonesboro; two grandsons, Joseph Wiley of Elkhart, Ind., and Javion Wiley of Osceola; a special aunt, Mattie B. Turner of Osceola; two special nieces, Lakisha Allen of Waterloo, Iowa, and Latesha Allen of Jonesboro; two special nephews, Aaron Allen of Jonesboro and Hollen Jefferson lll, of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10:00-10:55 a.m. at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Osceola. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Internment will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, Pastor Ed Richardson officiating.
