Sarah Lynn Wadley
Sarah Lynn Wadley, 72, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at her home. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Louie Ray and Maxine Eunice Pierce Wadley and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and loving caregiver to both her parents. Sarah enjoyed playing cards, backgammon and Rock Trivia. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.T. and Sarah E. Taylor and Huck and Beulah Wadley; a sister, Regina Wadley; and a special nephew, Dustin R. Brady.
Survivors include one son, Darin Ray Grimes of Franklinton, La.; one daughter, Tracy Ritz of Manila; one sister, Linda Wadley Walker of Rector; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bond (Danny), Breana Ritz and Chris Ritz; three great-grandchildren, Sadie Jean Lambert, Caleb Lambert and Samuel Robert Bond. She also leaves eight nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved, Danielle Brewster, Dana Brewster, Katherine Crawford, Metaya Ford, Peyton Brady-Smith, T.J. Brady, Dusty Davis and Scott Brady; a special grandnephew, Devon Brady, and great-great-niece, Sophie Claire Smith; valued family members, Ron and Kim Rakestraw, P.J. and Carol Ford, Carl Clapp and Janel Pillow and Melvin and Barbara Helton; and special family member, Steffi Sandbothe.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Vicki Hamilton and Donna McCormick for the care given to their loved one.
The family will receive friends for a drop-in "Celebration of Life" from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Sarah's home. You are encouraged to bring a dish and enjoy a time of fellowship.
