Betty Sue Payne
Betty Sue Payne, 87, of Blytheville, passed away Sept. 27, 2022, at her home.
Betty was born in Booneville, Miss., to Samuel and Emily Hughes Lauderdale and was retired from Family Medical Clinic. She was a member of North Tenth Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. She loved flower gardens and making flower arrangements for the home. Betty was the past owner and operator of Payne Flowers and Nursery. She was married for 64 years to her late husband, Johnny Payne. Betty was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved her dog Cam.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Payne; sister, Mary Young; and two brothers, Crockett Lauderdale and Milton Lauderdale.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Susanne McDowell of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Chas Campbell and his wife Madison of Blytheville and Colin Campbell; and three great-grandchildren, Drake Campbell, Kye Campbell and Landry Campbell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be expressed at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
