Alan “Big Al” Spaulding

Alan “Big Al” Spaulding, 64, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his wife and children.

Alan was born to the late Marion E. and Glenda Lou Spaulding and retired from Phoenix. He was a 1976 graduate of Blytheville High School, and of the Baptist faith. He loved to build BBQ grills, grilling and working in his shop. Alan was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Alan is survived by his wife, Debbie Haynes Spaulding of the home; children, Mark Bivens and Carla of Blytheville, Amy Tillman of Jonesboro and Ashley Powell and Jeremy of Blytheville; six grandchildren, Alexis Bivens, Makayla Powell, Addison Powell, Ava Claire Tillman, Mark Alan Bivens and Jaxon Powell.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at 1:30 p.m. in Elwood Cemetery with Reverend Mike Welch officiating. The family will receive friends and from 12-1 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
