Jackie Moody
Jackie Moody, 73, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Jackie was born to Jack and Lucille Vellars Moody and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and attended Aldersgate Methodist Church before its closing. Jackie served his country with honor in the United States Army where he served 14 months in Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wendell and Mary Phillips; brother, Leslie Moody; and two nephews, Randy Moody and Ronnie Moody.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Moody of the home; sister, Alma Jean Roehrig and her husband Al of Crystal Lake, Ill.; brother, Jimmy Moody and his wife Mary of Brookville, Fla.; brother-in-law, Merton, A. Phillips of Blytheville; sister-in-law, Edna Phillips McFarland of Tulsa, Okla.; many nieces and nephews as well as two special godsons, Glenn Moody and Todd Burnham.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Rainey and Rev. Mitchell King, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
