The Second Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 805 East Rose Thursday in collaboration with the Blytheville and Osceola Police Departments.
The warrant was drafted following a four month investigation of controlled substances being sold from the residence. Through the investigation it was revealed that counterfeit oxycontin pills, continuing fentanyl were being sold from the home. Police also believe that at least one overdose death can be correlated to drug sales at this location.
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration describes fentanyl as a synthetic opioid that is 50-100 times stronger than morphine. It was originally manufactured as a pain management pharmaceutical for cancer patients, to be applied in a patch on the skin.
Officers reported encountering a number of subjects outside the residence at the time the search warrant was conducted. Casanova Lollis, 33, and Andre Reed, 35, of Blytheville, were both arrested and transported to the county detention center with various felony drug and weapons charges. They will be scheduled to appear in Blytheville District Court on Sept. 6.
During the search, special Agents of the Drug Task Force recovered, 6 pounds of marijuana, 5.4 ounces of methamphetamine, 8.7 grams of cocaine, 517 MDMA (ecstasy) pills, 45.9 grams of MDMA powder, 263.5 M30 oxycontin/fentanyl pills, 22 xanax pills, 72.5 clonazepam pills, 28 hydrocodone pills, 20 oxycodone pills, 22 dextroamphetamine pills, 61.5 tramadol pills, 56 adderall pills, 72.5 clonazepam pills, 27.5 grams of hashish, three kratom pills, nine handguns, two of which were stolen, $4,714 in U.S. currency, along with digital scales and packaging material.
