One arrested following hostage situation

Dexter Moore was arrested Monday morning in Gosnell at the Quality Acres Trailer Park.

Gosnell Assistant Police Chief Andrew Wyles stated that the department received a call referencing domestic dispute and possible hostage situation. It was later confirmed that Moore was holding the victim at knife point.

Wyles noted that officers were able to talk Moore down and defuse the situation with no injuries. Moore was transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department and charged with two counts of aggravated assault on family or household members, two counts of terroristic threatening in the 1st degree and residential burglary.
