Thelma Virginia Gonzales

Thelma Virginia Gonzales, 85, of Lepanto passed away June 27, 2022 at Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lepanto. Ms. Gonzales was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Jacksonport to Sylvester Moore and Mary Lowery Welsh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester Moore and Mary Welsh; her husband, Mike "Junior" Gonzales, Jr.; one son, James Paul Gonzales; two daughters, Anita Hobock and Thelma Ruth Gonzales; four brothers, Edward Richards, J.D. Moore, Austin Welsh and Robert Welsh; and one sister, Ruth Mullins.

She is survived by one son, Mike (Paula) Gonzales of Lepanto; two daughters, Mary Watts and Virginia Ammons of Lepanto; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Lepanto. Burial will be at Potter Cemetery in Lepanto with Bro. Mike Gonzales officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is in charge of arrangements.
