Charlotte Lynn Carmichael
Charlotte Lynn Carmichael, 65, of Leachville, passed from this life Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Trumann and raised in Northeast Arkansas, she was the daughter of Carlene Collins and had attended Manila Public Schools. She earned her certification in mechanical engineering and later her certification as an emergency medical technician, then as a paramedic all from the Mississippi County Community College in Blytheville. She then earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Arkansas Northeastern College in Blytheville. She was a pillar in the medical community, serving on the Arkansas Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), the Blytheville Emergency Medical Squad, as well as several ambulance services and emergency rooms across Arkansas. Known by her co-workers as "Trauma Momma," she had served in deployments to natural disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey, the bombing in Atlanta, Ga., the World Trade Center 9/11 event, the South Carolina disaster and Puerto Rico, just to name a few. Charlotte enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most importantly being the best mom to her five children. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior on April 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul Carmichael and Gary "Winky" Carmichael, and her husband Jeff Cope.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Scott Carmichael and Adam Wayne Carmichael (Tari), all of Jonesboro; three daughters, Lauri Ann Keene (Mike) of Decatur, Ala., Alisia Marie Goff (Jeff) of Leachville and Rebecca Kaye Harris of Brookland; three brothers, Gerald Carmichael and Ronnie Carmichael, both of Leachville, and Kenny Carmichael of Monette; eight sisters, Deborah Horton of Marshall, Vickie Lollar of Clinton, Tenn., Judy Duke of Lebanon, Mo., Lisa Alsup of Caraway, Frances Lancaster of Leachville, Louise Wilbanks of Jonesboro, Mary Morris of Leachville and Kimberly Shirley of Jonesboro; her mother-in-law, Duella Cope; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Cope and Pam Cope. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her beloved dog "Timber."
Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service of Leachville. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Calvary Full Gospel Church, 529 Oak Street, Cardwell, Mo.
