Linda Joan Brown
Linda Joan Brown, 79, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her home.
Linda was born in Bogota, Tenn., to Edgar and Erma Hamilton Brim and was a retired nurse’s aide at Parkview Nursing Home. She was an excellent cook and was best known for her biscuits, chicken and dumplings and chocolate cake. Linda enjoyed working crossword puzzles and going to yard sales, and she loved her dogs, Diesel and Sassy. Linda loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Brown, Sr.; brothers, Larry Joe, Melvin, Jerry, Raymond, Eddie Wayne, Jimmy and Bobby Brim; and sisters, Margaret Sexton, Peggy Weeks, Yvonne Copeland, Kay Hipps ad Mayfair Brim.
Linda is survived by her children, Karen Dorris and her husband David of Gosnell, Deborah Reynolds and her husband James of Gosnell, Linda Gail Brown of Florida, Danny Brim and his wife Shannon of Alabama, Dwight Brown and his wife Sherry of Gosnell and Jerry D. Brown, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Gosnell who were her caregivers; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Brim of Tennessee and Rodger Brim of Arkansas; and sisters, Pat Lamke of Illinois and Terry Franks of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
