Edna Louise Peeples Branscum
Edna Louise Peeples Branscum passed away peacefully at her home in Little Rock on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, just days after her 91st birthday.
Edna was born and reared in Dell, but she spent most of her life in Blytheville. She married Jim Branscum in 1951 and enjoyed a beautiful marriage for 61 years. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Edna’s life was rich and fruitful, and she served the Lord her entire life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville.
Edna is survived by daughters, Lou Abbott, Rita Wooten and her husband, Michael. She leaves behind granddaughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Poynter, and Elizabeth’s father, Dave (Gloria) Abbott. She is also survived by grandchildren, Catherine (Will) Cromer, Sarah Wooten and Baker Wooten, and she leaves behind great-grandchildren, Emory and Dustin Poynter.
Edna’s brothers, Charles Peeples and Jerry (Marie) Peeples, brother-in-law Charlie Branscum, and cherished sister Wanda (Ron) Boggs also grieve her passing. Edna’s brother, Don Peeples preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7, at 11:30 a.m.
