Johnetta King
Johnetta King of Blytheville was born Nov. 30, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo. She was a cook at Price Chopper and a member of New Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. King passed away May 5, 2022, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Stevenson; her mother, Ethel Webster Sanders; her son, Tony Anthony King; her daughter, Brenda King; and her sister, Joan Harris.
She is survived by her son, Reverend Steven King and wife Stephanie of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Terri Campbell and husband Homer of Blytheville and Sharon King of Mesquite, Texas; three sisters, Barbara Walker, Ann Wheeler and husband Keeley and Mary Dixon and husband Larry, all of Blytheville; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, from 12 to 2 p.m. at New Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Blytheville, where the Reverend Douglas Echols is the pastor. The funeral will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Steven King officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
