Bert Carson Puckett

Bert Carson Puckett, 65, of Leachville, passed from this life Monday, May 2, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Edward Dee and Faye Lentz Puckett and had been a lifelong area resident. He had been employed as a truck driver for Thomas E. Puckett Trucking Company of Leachville for over 40 years. Bert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and being on the lake. He had been a member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Teresa McCoy Puckett; four brothers, Jerry Puckett, Terry Puckett, Charles Puckett and Thomas Puckett; and two sisters, Connie Shepard and Wava Martin.

Survivors include his son, Eric Puckett of Leachville; one brother, Cloyce Puckett of Summersville, Mo.; three sisters, Jo Ann Cardin of Leachville, Quinnie Moore of Saint Ann, Mo., and Mary Ellen Steen of Kennett, Mo.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Mark Wheeler and Pastor David Price officiating.  Serving as active pallbearers will be John Thompson, Terry Routon, Bill Lyles, Keith Evans, Harley Harvey, Kevin Estes and Kenny Carmichael. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry "Peanut" Way. Burial will be in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
