Curtis Hunter
Curtis Hunter was born on July 4, 1951, to the late L.T. Hunter and Icy Mae Turner. He was a United States veteran that served in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Jeannette Hunter, on Jan. 5, 2007. He was an active member of New Mount Pleasant Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Brown. He was also an active member of the Brotherhood. He always looked out for others and did not hesitate to offer assistance whenever he was asked. He loved to collect antique cars, fish, and ride his bike.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Jeannette Hunter of the home. He leaves five children, Christie (Sean) Morris of Osceola, Michael (Monika) Hunter of Kaiserslautern, Germany, Michelle Hunter of Marion, Charles Hunter of San Antonio, Texas, and Heather Clampitt of Indianapolis, Ind. He leaves one sister, Freddie Oliver of Kokomo, Ind., and two brothers, Richard (Tina) Moore of Milwaukee, Wis., and Robert Williams of Jericho. He leaves 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, from 12:00 (noon) until 12:55 p.m., at New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Osceola. Service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
