Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Colley
Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Colley was born Nov. 19, 1954, in Blytheville. She was the daughter of James and Henrietta Thomas Colley. Bobbie attended Richard B. Harrison High School and was a former employee of Milwaukee Tool.
Spending time with her children, grandchildren, sisters, friends, and her dog “Barack” were just a few things that Bobbie cherished. As a young lady, she was a member of Jeremiah Temple Spiritual Church under the leadership of Bishop Roscoe Roberson.
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Barbara transitioned at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Henrietta Colley; one brother, Curtis Colley; and one sister, Jimmie Williams.
She was loved yesterday, as she is loved today. She will be loved tomorrow and forever by five daughters, Undrea Colley, Casheena Ford, Latassha Ford, Sherry-Ford Williams and Shayla Colley-Adelowo all of Blytheville; six sisters, Betty Madison, Annette (Benjamin) Moore, Donna (James) Luster all of Blytheville, Jeanette Colley of Chicago, Ill., and Ruthie Wesley of Elkhart, Ind.; three bonus sisters, Maggie (Elder John) Murphy, Linda (Bennie Lee) Cannon and Otia Hughes, also of Blytheville; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life services for family and close friends will be conducted Saturday, March 19, at 2 p.m. at New St. Paul Baptist Church, 515 East Sawyer Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Clark Phillips is the pastor. Reverend Carl Rogers will deliver the eulogy.
