Wallace “Wally” Ray Thomas

Wallace “Wally” Ray Thomas, 83, of Blytheville passed from the cares of this life on March 1, 2022.

Wally was born to the late Cecil Thomas and Ruth Miller in Hand County, South Dakota.

Wally was a member of First United Methodist Church of Blytheville. He served in the United States Army as U.S.A.F. in the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity, and a lifetime member of American Legion. He was a pilot and a flight instructor.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Mel; his daughter Melanie Thomas; his brothers, Dallas Thomas and Norm Thomas; sisters, Mavis Thomas Booze and Mary Varner.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Thomas of South Dakota; one special friend, Ellen Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Wally’s life will be held Thursday, March 10, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
