Dennis Griffin

Dennis Griffin, 62, of Leachville and formerly of Osceola, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Dennis was born in Osceola to Lonnie and Coy Foreman Griffin and was a 1977 graduate of Osceola High School. He worked as an autobody repair technician for Clayton's Body Shop in Osceola for many years. He had the opportunity to expand his career and worked as insurance adjuster for Progressive Insurance for 19 years. Dennis enjoyed spending his time outdoors sitting on his back porch or camping and fishing with his family. Dennis adored his girls and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Liam Huckabay; brother, David Griffin; and sister, Carolyn Parsons.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sheila Valachovic Griffin of the home; daughters, Katrina Pearson and her husband Steven of Leachville and Brittany Huckabay and her husband Matt of Armorel; grandchildren, Marlee Pearson, Paxton Huckabay, Alex Pearson and Liah Huckabay; and sisters, Mary Sue Zissis and her husband Dan of Navarre, Fla., and Velma Prince of Manila.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
