Mary Ruth Garner

Mary Ruth Garner, 80, of Mountain Home, formerly of Osceola, passed away Feb. 25, 2022, at Hiram Shaddox Health and Rehab in Mountain Home. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Ms. Garner was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Luxora to Leon "Spud" Foreman and Mary Lou Smithey Foreman Crumley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Garner, Sr.; one son, Brandon Garner; one stepson, James Michael Garner; and one brother; Wilburn Wayne Foreman.

She is survived by two sons, James M. Garner, Jr. (Vickie Terry) of Mountain Home and Jerry Wayne Garner (Naya) of Castle Rock, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Garner Prewitt of Leland, Ill.; two brothers, James "Dago" Foreman and Charles Foreman (Janice) of Gamaliel; one sister, Linda Thomas of Luxora; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette with Linda Thomas officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
