On Friday, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Blytheville Police Department responded to the corner of 21st and Marguerite in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
“Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, later identified as Shirley Krech , 48 year old female of Blytheville,” BPD assistant chief Ricky Jefferson said. “The victim was transported by Pafford Ambulance Service to the Great River Medical Center for treatment and subsequently passed away as a result of her injuries. It was determined that the victim was struck by a vehicle headed northbound. This matter is currently under investigation.”
