Southworth, Inc., in Manila made donations to the Leachville Fire Department and the Monette Fire Department in the amount of $3,000 each and recognized their employees who helped with the storm clean up.
The funds can be used to help replenish any needs the departments may have following their rescue and clean-up efforts during the Dec. 10 tornado.
Many of the employees of Southworth live in Leachville and Monette. Some are volunteer firemen.
Southworth pays employees for community service involvement that helped with the storm clean-up. Many of the workers volunteered additional hours working in the towns.
Kerry Pugh, Director of Manufacturing Operations, recognized the Southworth employees, sharing a message from the owner James Cabot who also commended the employees for their community service.
“We are proud of our employees who went out and worked in the community and we want to recognize you,” Pugh said.
