Eugene Troy Reed

Eugene Troy Reed of Blytheville was born June 10, 1959, in Blytheville to the late Walter Reed and the late Rosie Lee Brazile Reed. He was a farm worker and a member of Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church. Mr. Reed passed away Dec. 4, 2021, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Reed; his mother, Rosie Lee Brazile Reed; and two daughters, Priscilla Aldridge and Rushunda Reed.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Aldridge Reed; eight sons, Jerry Johnson of Arlington, Texas, Terrance Reed of Casper, Wyo., Eugene Reed, JR, Jarvis Reed, Justin Reed, Jeremy Reed, Anthony Aldridge and Johnny Carter, all of Blytheville; one stepson, Tyrequis Fields of Blytheville; three brothers, Mark Reed of Selma, Ala., Robert Washington of Blytheville and Richard Reed of Earle; one sister, Rosie Lewis of Blytheville; 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 17, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. at True Light M.B. Church in Blytheville, with Bishop Randy Crenshaw officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
