Earnestine Perry

Earnestine Perry, 79, of Wilson passed away Nov. 26, 2021, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member and usher of Wilson Chapel M.B. Church in Wilson. Ms. Perry was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Wilson to Hollis Young Sr. and Mary Ella Anderson Young. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Arthur Perry; one son, Leroy Beecham Jr.; two brothers, Hollis Young Jr. and Henry C. Young; five sisters, Rosie Marshabank, Lovella Johnson, Dorothy Goodlow, Ella Mae King and Frances Foster.

She is survived by one son, Lawrence Dernell (Catherine Lee) Perry of Lakewood, Wash.; two daughters, Virginia Watkins of Wilson and Varonda (Victor) Harris of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor Anthony Smith officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
