Marshall Frazier
Marshall Frazier was born Sept. 18, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, to Lester and Mary Spears Frazier. Marshall was a graduate of Wilson Trade School class of 1963. Marshall served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and retired from Viskase in Osceola. He was a faithful and dedicated member of First Missionary Baptist Church where he sang with the Minute Men and served as a trustee. Marshall was a man of many talents as he was a mechanic, computer tech, seamstress and carpenter just to name a few.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Samuel Frazier, Cornell Henning and LeRoy Frazier; and one son, Marshall Allen Frazier. On Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, Marshall transitioned at the Great River Medical Center at the age of 77.
Marshall leaves to cherish his memories four sons, Maurice (Wendy) Frazier of Marion, Iowa, Marshall (Kori) Frazier, Jr. of Waterloo, Iowa, Reginald (Cleo Hoyte) Frazier of Williamsburg, Vir., and Joseph “Rudy” (Tenna) Smith of Fredericksburg, Vir.; two daughters, LaDonna (Marvin) Ross of Macomb, Mich., and and Bridgett Smith of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Lester “Polly” Wright of Houston, Texas, and Yolanda (Wesley) Johnson of Carson, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney, Blytheville, Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor and eulogist. Burial will follow on Monday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 6300 Hwy. 163, Birdeye.
The funeral procession will assemble at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville. The procession will depart at 11 a.m.
