Roy Thomas May Jr.
Roy Thomas May Jr., 72, of Osceola passed away Nov. 23, 2021, at the Memphis VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. He was an Army veteran in which he served two tours in Vietnam and received these medals: Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. May was born in Manila to Roy Thomas May Sr. and Lorene Vaughn May. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Joshua May.
He is survived by his wife, Linda May of Osceola; one son, Thomas (Terri) May of Lillington, N.C.; six daughters, Francis (Lesley) Walker of Blytheville, Audra Paslay of Hope, Stephanie (Theodore) Brown of Marked Tree, Dena (Daniel) Davis of Lepanto, Karen (Howard) Hendrix of Houston, Lisa (Chris) Bailey of Dillon, S.C.; one brother, Larry (Nancy) May of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.; two sisters, Patricia (Larry) Hitt of Sheridan and LaDonnia (Jimmy) Burnett of Osceola; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 29, from 10-11:30 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye at 2 p.m. with Apostle Jeff Crockett officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
