Jack D. Merryman
Jack D. Merryman, 72, of Osceola, formerly of Blytheville, passed away at home on Oct. 9, 2021. He was born and raised in Blytheville by his parents, Horace and Lillian Merryman. He was of the Baptist faith.
Jack drove a truck over the road for 25 years and he loved every minute of it! He drove for Eastern Express and his CB handle was “Budman.” He loved his truck driving friends. He loved water, whether it was at Norfork Lake or the river. He loved skiing, fishing, building bonfires, and BBQs. He was a loving and tenderhearted person.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Lillian Merryman.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lona Merryman; two sons, Bobby Joe Merryman and Billy Merryman; three grandchildren, Bobby Joe Merryman, Brian Ashley Calvert, and Matthew James Merryman; three great-grandchildren, Ruth Calvert, Declan Carmichael Merryman, and Olivia Merryman; a special cousin, who was like a brother, Dale Parish; and other friends and family who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service may be held at a later date.
